Building Before the Proof Arrives
There is a strange moment in every meaningful creative journey when the vision is clear to you before it's obvious to anyone else.
You can feel it. You can see it. You can taste it. You may even be able to describe it in detail. But the visible evidence has not caught up yet.
That is where I am right now with CREATE: Focus. Finish. Grow.
The vision is big. The current reality is small. The goal is to build a 10,000-member community of independent creatives by December 31, 2026. As I write this, the community has five members.
That means I still need 9,995 more.
I know how that sounds.
It sounds unreasonable. It sounds impossible. It sounds like the kind of thing that probably shouldn't be said out loud until there is more proof. But that is exactly why I want to say it out loud. Part of The Creator’s Journey is being honest about what it looks like to build something before the marketplace has validated it, before the numbers are impressive, before the screenshots look exciting, and before the outside world has decided that the vision makes sense.
And it is a little crazy. Because it's an "impossible goal," I want to be transparent with you and share my progress and experiences on this journey. I hope it inspires you and others to begin and take control of your creative goals and dreams.
But crazy does not mean careless.
The proof right now? I don't have any current social proof. I don't have a giant community yet. I don't have a long list of testimonials or revenue screenshots (In fact, I don't have any testimonials yet). However, the proof I do have is the CREATE Operating System itself. The framework is strong. The accountability we're building around it is strong. The need in the marketplace is real.
Independent creatives have thousands of ideas. They have enormous amounts of inspiration. They have access to more tools, tutorials, courses, and strategies than any generation of creatives that came before them. However, what most creatives are missing is a structure for choosing the project that matters most right now, finishing the work, amplifying what they have finished, tracking what matters, and evolving every week with accountability.
That is what CREATE is designed to provide.
I believe the framework is powerful. In fact, I know the framework is powerful. I believe accountability plus the framework will change lives. I believe independent creatives are hungry for a place where they can stop switching from idea to idea and start building real momentum.
But belief is easier when there is proof.
That's the hard part right now.
I'm in the phase where I have put a tremendous amount of work into something that has not yet produced a financial return. I'm building the community. I'm refining the message. I'm creating content. I'm preparing the webinar. I'm developing the needed resources. I'm talking about the vision. I'm learning to amplify (that's the hardest one for me).
And at the same time, I'm telling my wife that this is the thing that will help us build the next chapter of our lives. This is the thing that will move us to Alaska. This is the thing that will retire her from traditional employment. Finally, this is the thing that will provide a comfortable lifestyle and give us more freedom.
That's an insane amount to say before any return on investment has appeared.
It takes belief.
And belief is not always loud. Often, belief is just getting up and doing the next necessary task while waiting for results to arrive.
That is where accountability becomes personal for me.
I'm building a community around accountability, which means I have to be accountable first. I can't simply teach accountability and expect follow-through. I have to live it. I can't tell independent creatives to choose a Primary Quest if I constantly change direction. I can't encourage people to amplify their work if I hide from visibility. I can't ask people to track their progress while, at the same time, I avoid looking honestly at my own.
Right now, I have to be accountable to myself.
Last year, I had a friend I met with every week. We reported on our progress, talked through the week, and stayed connected to what we said mattered. This year, we have only had two calls. The community is just beginning to grow. So for now, I have to lead by example and be accountable to myself.
Which isn't easy.
The hardest part right now is maintaining belief while I begin to amplify CREATE without any social proof. I'm looking forward to the first paying member. Then the first ten. I know how much that will shift the energy and skyrocket belief. Because visible evidence does something for the human spirit. It gives the vision weight. It gives the work momentum. It says, “Yes, this is happening.”
While I wait for that to happen, I still have to show up.
That's part of the work...And maybe that's the point.
Independent creatives often wait too long to begin because they want to feel fully ready, fully confident, fully validated, or fully prepared. They want the proof before the action. They want confidence and results before commitment. They want project completion before they even get started.
But a creative life is rarely built that way.
At some point, you have to declare to yourself the direction you intend to go before the evidence is complete. You have to start building before the proof arrives. You have to take responsibility for the thing you say you want most.
If you want to write music, write music.
If you want to write a book, begin.
If you want to build a coaching program, start shaping it.
If you want to create a body of work, stop waiting for permission.
If you want your creative life to change, live proactively instead of reactively.
That's what I'm currently doing.
I'm building CREATE in real time. I'm building the framework, the community, the webinar, the message, the determination, and the accountability structure while also becoming the kind of creator who can lead it.
All while there is no proof yet.
I have a vision. I've built the system. There is total commitment. Right now, there is a community of five. The goal is 10,000. The path is being built one step at a time.
And here the journey begins.
Not after the proof arrives.
Now.
